The goal of the Wellness Committee is to enable students to establish good health and nutrition habits through (1) nutrition education, (2) physical activity, and (3) nutrition promotion.
Although the committee is a requirement of State and Federal mandates, Richmond Community Schools is excited to launch the Wellness Committee for the 2014-15 school year. The Wellness Committee is scheduled to have its first meeting on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 3:00-4:00 pm.

Richmond High School welcomes Mr. Jason Weaver as our new science teacher. Mr. Weaver has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Grand Valley State University and a Master of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in science education and instruction. Mr. Weaver comes to us from East Detroit High School where he taught for 13 years. He has experience in teaching chemistry, physics, physical science, forensic science, biology, and environmental science. He was also the Science Department Leader at East Detroit High School. Richmond High School welcomes Mr. Weaver and looks forward to working with him in our Science Department.
